So i'm thinking Thursday afternoon around 4 EST time. I will be busy most if not all of tomorrow so that won't work. So for all who would like to play on Thursday go ahead and post your gamertag and if you will actually come/make it.

All except one emblem are given for accomplishments or otherwise something in which to take pride, winning SOTW is an accomplishment, playing a game of Halo 3 is not. It is an emblem virtually every member of the site with Halo 3 could get. It would have no point, and it would be obscenely easy to get. Want a free emblem? Play Halo 3. There is no need for such an emblem, and it would be so horribly wide-spread that it would serve absolutely no purpose in the scope of emblems.

SOTW is nothing, at all, like these, by the way. That is a competition and an emblem is given to the winner, which is the opposite of what you're saying. It would be the same if everyone who entered SOTW got the emblem, which does not happen, and thus makes the two situation entirely different.
You're taking this drastically the wrong direction. I also said based on the "emblem nature". Which, considering that I got an emblem for going into the Serenity repository and clicking vote on every mod there (despite never actually using any of the .serenity files), would permit an emblem for simply being dedicated to a HaloMods based event. Hell, compared to most of the emblems, it'd be a drastic step up. I really don't understand why you have such a strong opposition to the idea. Emblems go to dedicated members that put forth the work to support their peers and HaloMods.com. Supporting HaloMods by consistently participating in regularly hosted HaloMods events falls in that area. If people can get an emblem for simply being active in IRC, which is an emblem Iron_Forge himself put here in the very beginning, my idea also makes sense based on those "rules".

The Serenity voting emblem is dependent on more than just voting.
I also made it very clear what aspect of the emblem I was opposed to, which was anyone being able to get it just for getting on. My opposition was not as broad as it may be interpreted as. I was opposed to a very specific idea, and I think Detox mentioned somewhere a better idea, with having to take time to get it, you are not going to just get it the first week, etc.

And you were still incorrect about SotW and Serenity Voting. >=(

I don't even remember what we were arguing about anymore, and I'm too lazy to read the thread. I typed it before I went to sleep and apparently didn't retain the knowledge. Point is, I think, don't give it for one week or something dumb. It can be given to people who actively participate many times.

For the next match, I got a couple cool Sandbox variants for us to play.

Eh, Toorul, I said in my first post that you shot down that the emblem would/should only be given for active participants who support the event for a long period of time. So yeah, butts to you, man. :o As far for the Serenity emblem, someone fucked up for giving it to me. I basically, if only to test the Emblem, went in and voted on the picture of every Serenity mod in the repository.. thus leading to me getting a maxed emblem. I've never even played a Halo 2 Xbox modification. Basically, I think you were arguing with someone else whom you mistook for me. From what I can tell, we've been agreeing with each other this whole time? :P

Wanna fight about it? =)

It was just a thought about the whole HMCGD thing and more shiny.gif's because, I mean, c'mon, what's the point of doing something and not getting an emblem for it?
Adopt Obama's strategy... free emblems for all!..

I wouldn't buy a game like that that doesn't interest me to get into activities like that, I'm sure there's some others that would agree they won't buy the game..

Though if you guys go ahead with it, enjoy.
