Well, since no one else seems to be doing it, I thought I'd post my theories on emblems in a nice new thread that isn't 17 pages long...For all the emblems with chevrons (^ things), there seems to be 3 levels...Some also seem to have blue ribbons...You seem to get one of these when you win a contest of that particular emblem...I'll only bother showing the first chevron of each image...The names don't really concern me, so I'm not going to hunt them all down...

• ~ This seems to be given to application developers...low8 got one after releasing SuperPPF...
• ~ I'm assuming this one is given to modders...People seem to get the blue ribbon variant after winning MoTM...
• ~ Lots of people seem to have this...Modders in particular...Given that I have the 3rd chevron, I assume it's something to do with modding, but not actually modding...
• ~ Myself and Swamp are the only ones I've seen with this emblem...Make what you will of it...
• ~ Myself, Nick, and kornman are the only ones I know of with this emblem...Make what you will of it...
• ~ Users of IRC from what I can tell...
• ~ Not many people seem to have this...Not sure what it is...
• ~ Pretty sure this is for reporting things...I got it after a large reporting spree during the anti-sig campaign...
• ~ Don't have this one...greennc has the 3rd chevron...Leads me to believe it has to do with skins...
• ~ I'd assume something to do with sigs...Aequitas got this after the SoTW...
• ~ My guess would be something to do with models/renders...Veegie has the 3rd chevron...It's the only worthwhile thing I've ever seen him do...
• ~ Helpful people seem to get these...It's really the only thing I can think of that the pink heart could mean that wasn't derogatory... ;oP
• ~ Pretty clear cut...Staff get them...Chevrons define which level of staff...
• ~ Given the names, and the people who have them...I'm assuming these define being active sometime in the long since past...
• ~ Damned if I know...I don't have it...I only know a few of the people that do have it...

Some of these emblems seem to be more actively obtained than others...Again, make what you will of it...And of course, this is all just my opinion, much of it just a guess...I wouldn't go proclaiming you deserve something just cause I said it... ;oP

I'm pretty sure the heart one is for Tutorial Submissions. And the Nuclear thing is for general Graphics sections things I'm pretty sure. And I also think the ribbon variants of the Nuclear one and the Rain one are for winning SotW and MotM respectively.

I got the heart prior to ever posting a tutorial, I'm pretty sure it's for helping.

Yeah, I was under the impression it was for simply helping, not necessarily tutorial submissions. If there were true, a lot more people would have them...

Mb somebody who spends far too much time playing mods?

That's a possibility.. Or it could be something about actually modding Xboxes..

My only theory is that people who modded halo 1 on xbox and was good at it...as i see both mrmurder and theswampfox having them...

i have none, but i also have a new name, DAMN! i might of gotten one for being on here forever! oh well. maybe i'll just go on a reporting spree.

I modded halo 1 on xbox heavily (and rather well) and I don't have one so I don't think that's it. I've also modded real xboxes and don't have one so that's not it either, but why would it be? This is a halo modding forum not xbox modding

I've asked around about the xbox one, I don't even think Swamp knows

Swamp Fox has like 12, I don't even think he notices when he gets a new one

Those seem pretty legitimate to me; nice job.

I figured that one out in about the first day of the emblems
