They should be merged, it really doesn't make any sense to have two separate boards. Why are so many people against the files?

The forums could be merged, I suppose. But at the main forum, I'd like there to be two subforums; User's Forum and Files Forum. The forums can be merged into one forum, but I'd want them to still be divided as User's and Files.

It would make much more sense to have a forum such as "Halo 2", and then sub forum "Halo 2 downloads" and "Halo 2 discussion", etc...This would be much more organized and flowing, especially to new members who don't know halomods worked pre-merge...This way if you're interested in Halo PC, or Halo 2, or Halo 2 Vista, you go to that section, and there you are...Much more convinient for current members aswell, who probably only pay attention to one or two variants of Halo...

Eh now that i think of it, it wouldn't be THAT bad to merge. Do whatever you want Excal, doesn't matter to me anymore.

It seems odd that ever since iron forge posted everyones for merging the forums....

I think it would just be way to chaotic, to have questions and mods in the same place on a site as popular as this, there would be too overwhelming for us to actually read all of them, especially for those who actually answer and help newbs.

I'm still against it, but you guys could try it out and see how it works out. I personally don't want to keep up on about a thousand posts per day, and be stuck with all the people I despise on the files forum *cough* veegie *cough*.
I like the Halomods layout today, the Users Forum for chatting with members, and helping people out with questions and recruiting for projects, and posting WIP projects in the forums, then posting your final mod in the Files Forum. It may seem unorganized, but I think it works out really well.

As for me, I wouldn't mind too much, as long as there were more mods and JAs from the users side, because they seem to be more fair. The one's at the FF are just assholes.

Never said we did, just saying that the majority of the staff should be from the UF because they are better mods than most of the people from the FF

The FF mods have way more experience with actual modding.I know that many say thats not a factor but if the HM server admin says that the server runs on linux....duno.
