Description

Today marks the two year anniversary of me being here at Halomods, so I decided to get back into modding and make a skin. This skin changes Burial Mounds from its harsh and barren landscape to a lush valley with ruins of a lost time. The entire map has been skinned but no weapons or vehicles are skinned and the trees have full collision. I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking.

Happy Anniversary. ^_^

I'm not that big of a fan of the grass textures. I still see a rock-like detail map. Nice skin overall. :)

I tried to get rid of that but there is a grass detail map if you look closely.

I always hated the original skins on that map. I really like this. Good job.

There are trees. I didn't want to add water, it just wasn't the theme I was going for.

I'm on the forums alot but I made the mod because my 360 got the red ring of death. Now that I made a mod I realized I missed modding. If I decide to work on other mods it will be slow unless put the 360 aside for awhille. As of right now Battlefield: Bad Company FTW. :D

The base and ruins texture looks so dang tiled. I do rather enjoy you changing around the atmosphere of Burial Mounds.

Now that I look at these two pictures...it does seem like the bump map was left for the ground texture. Or is it just me? Just seems so dried out still.

Wow. I don't even see the grass detail map there either. I'll try and look into it but I know im going to be busy for the next couple of days.

EDIT: Well I know why I didn't change the ground bumpmap. I can't seem to find it anywhere.

It's all good. I thought I might point it out. But nice job regardless. I'm glad you decided to start up again.

I do not like this. Unless the skin somehow looks different in game...
My main complaint is that it just doesn't fit together. I could download and elaborate if you wish.

Hurray for being here for 2 years :)

looks like it should be darker or something. idk something is missing though. water would add a nice tough and maybe fix the leaves of the trees and vines to match the rest of the map

Congrats on 2 years, and BTW you've inspired me to skin again ;). I don't think it is the amazingness of your skin; I believe it is the overall new environment you have added to the halo 2 engine. I really miss doing that and I think I will get to work tonight. Thanks again, and good job, except for the ground texture, should probably work on that a little :).
