very good
i'll test it

but can you put more trees, bushes and shrubs on it, and a little green fog (not the backwash fog)?

so it would look more like a JUNGLE...

Map is completely unique when compared to anything else that Bungie had out , and as far as what I've seen from other skinners, for its theme. I loved the rain, although I might change that around a little bit... perhaps make it change in tone depending where you are (If its possible, I do not know). As it is I couldn't handle playing with that rain for too long because its just too real. I get depressed when it rains and your map has the same effect on me. I love the vehicle skins, although the shininess on the MC looks bad on split screen (It looks like a Morrowind enchantment...) (I haven't played it solo yet). Your building texture is fairly bland in color but I think it fits with your skin just fine. The water should not have grass growing underneath it though, lol (And can you add a fog underneath as well? because that would make it look 200% better). As well the fact that there are no ripples really bugs me... its just not right.

Graphics: 8/10.
Pros: looks wet and muddy
Cons: Bland texture on wreckage.

Sounds: 9/10.
Pros: Ambiance fits rain very well, changes with interior.
Cons: repetitive

Gameplay: 10/10.
Pros: feels unique and the rain makes spotting other players a pain.

Total: 9/10

Very Nice. You succeeded with adding a new feel and environment. It is very nice.

Good job.
Unfortunately I can't play it, so I'm just judging from the pictures. I only stopped by home to pick something up I forgot.

Keep it up, I expect nothing less from you [/annoying GoW dialogue]

I don't check the skins section as often as I should, so I almost missed this one. It looks like it has an awsome feel to it, I shall have to DL and see and hear it for myself. ;)

Looks spectacular from the pics. :D
Nice work, Scotteh!

Would you like to be a judge in this competition so you can help determine the winner (and runners upsers) of the competition?

And thank you for the rest of the comments...I may change a few things now to try and make it better but I can't guarentee much

I did get the chance to play this map today. My review:

The rain was indeed a good effect for your skin. It's heavy down poor really did bring the mood into play. I did like how you had the water level. It wasn't overwhelming but did have enough impact on the map's skin itself to change my outlook on the skin as a whole. I also do think that the structure texture was a bit bland but the fact that you made it look muddy just took my breath. In my opinion it's absolutely gorgeous. I did notice the wet drippage from the ends of the cave area's which wasn't a must but just added to the atmosphere. I did notice that the mountain in the background had a slight glitch where the base of it was darker than the upper part of it. it's not too noticeable but still there. Tree placement was good. Not too many which is a good thing but enough to be a good feature. I wasn't too found of the ground being green AND brown mixed.

Overall I did enjoy the map. Good setting and atmosphere.

Green and brown mixed? you mean like I made the dirt appear where grass should be?
Would you be able to take a picture of that? Tweaking the _ground.bitm was pretty hard since I used a different shader (trial and error as well as figuring out which bet goes where and then doing the alpha map :?).

but thanks for the review :D

Very nice looking.

I just played the mod and it is really nice. The thunder really adds that extra "realness" :P

The only thing I really didn't like was the metal bumpmaps. They looked really gross to me. Besides that, the mod is incredible.

Great Job

Real nice Scotty, it is always the little details that make great mods.

Here's a mirror also, if you'd like to use it.

about the water, maybe you should use the ummm, scenery that waterfalls use to make them look splashy... I cant think of any other way to make it have splashes...
