Story:
This skin took awhile to complete and ended up annoying me greatly. It is not in a perfect state and may never be because I have more important things to do for a while and once I am done I will have a new project to complete. I will not be doing any more mods for a while, expect me back by December, after then I will also be interested in doing a mod with someone else as a joint project

Looks really good. How'd you take out the center things... Aren't they part of the BSP?

by SingingBlaze
Yes they are. Thankfully
Shades BSP Scenery Tool can move them. I just change the z to something rediculous so they wouldn't appear there.

I don't really like it it's just ...to white and then I don't like it when people use the same texture for the weapons. I do like how you got rid of the BSP Scenery but the black marks are very bad when it is all white so you could try editing the ltmp or just null it out. 8/10 it is very nice and calm to look at and play.

If I were singingblaze, I'd be offended right now...Look at what your doin >_< this is my opinion so only get mad at me but just posting "omg i like it" and thats it is kinda....hmmm....annoying/stupid?
I mean look at the download count, its 1 download...And how many posts? alot... It leaves me at least to think, are people just posting to raise post counts, do they even think its good as they don't even bother downloading it themselves, or are they just humering the author?
Everybody judges things by the pictures these days and it may have been a factor that has driven people away and I don't want it to develop further...
Why not just download and play the skin?

Skinning is 1337...[/rant]
I will download this skin and play it tomorrow afternoon when I finish my final ever maths exam.
I unlike many will give the review once I play the skin...

@ Stalking
Same texture for weapons, do you mean you want a bit of versatility with them instead of the base of them all being white? I tried nulling it which keeps the marks black. I will try the lightmap now though.
I agree with Scotty please share your true opinion once you have played it. I don't mind you commenting it but at least try it. Thanks

That's because skins are visual elements only Scotty, they don't nescassarily
need to be played.
Don't get me wrong, I love skins, I think skins are better then mods in most cases, because there are almost no boundaries with skinning, it is completley customisable, you are not bound by the options open to you in a meta editor, like a mod.
But, if no physics are changed, there are no weapon changes and damage stuff, then pictures are good enough for most people.
If I had the time in the day to play every skin/mod released, then beleive me, I would, but until then, I comment on how I feel about the skin/mod by looking at it's pictures.

(And for the record, I wasn't arguing scotty, I was just like stating my opinion, had some problems lately with my posts being read the wrong way

)

Nah its valid...I just hoped nobody would bring that up...
But at the same time, a skinner does not feel happy if they were to get 3 pages of comments and 3 downloads...It shows that your skin isn't valued all that much, and your efforts weren't worth it...
I speak for myself as I don't know what others think but I skin to change a levels theme to be overall better and a refreshing change...I release them so people can share that experience, but if people don't download...Whats the point? I may aswell just not release any of my skins and enjoy them on my own.
But sorry singingblaze...I'll stop posting and you can get a moderator to delete these if you wish...

I agree, I wouldn't feel to happy if I spent a lot of time on a skin, but people can't be forced to download it, if they do not wish to.
That's the problem with skins, they can be beautiful, but unless there's modding incorporated too, they're not exactly 'fun' to play. But I do love skins a lot, as I have already said, so don't go thinking im bashing skins lol.

I will download. But usually I will only download the mods I think I will like and judge the others on pics and leave good constructive comments. As I do not find a lot of time to play mods any more.

Yeah, don't worry if not a lot of people download it. I think the skin looks good, but it seems rather "general" in the sense that details in the skin are lacking. However, it's a creative feel for such a boring and, in my opinion, lame map. Good work!
As for people downloading it or not downloading it... I don't know that any of my skins have had over 100 downloads (they might have, but I haven't checked). Skins will not be downloaded a lot. Even Greennc's recent skins have been neglected by the community. That doesn't mean you should get discouraged or stop skinning. Keep making 'em. They're a blast to do

.
Good work, man.

True...Just got back from losing a poker tournament so what better way to cheer myself up by playing a skin...
And now I see other sides to my argument and almost feel silly
