unnofficial bored sketch thread

Post by AbeFroman »

let me start:
ok so i was sick monday this week, but on monday we were doing a peroject in my AP US History class, so since i was sick i didn't really have a chance to get involved (it was one of those projects where you have to be there the first time) so while everyone was debating or whatever, i got bored and drew on my notes

Image

i thought it ended up pretty neat

there are a couple details my crappy scanner didn't pick up so it's kinda low-res

Edited since it has been moved to the proper section

Pretty sure drawings are allowed in the graphics section. It's kinda good for a boredom sketch I guess.

I used to draw tiny battlefields on sheets of A4 lined paper, complete with tiny stick figures (donning clunky G.I. helmets), little BMP's, and cartoonish attack helicopters. That was before I was assigned entire batmans* of work, alas, the days when I was assigned lots** of homework are long gone. :(

This thread is better suited for the graphics section.

when sketching, remember that most parts of the the human body cannot bend like his wrist. Treat each part (wrists, elbows, shoulders, legs etc.) as a hinge, it shouldn't bend, it should come to an angle (not a sharp one, but I digress and you get the idea.)

Oh god. The good old days.

Actually, I got an ISS(in school suspension), because I left my and a friend's "artwork" inside one of the desks, and a sixth grader found it. He gave it to the general teacher of the school and BAM. ISS for me.

I think the main reason was because someone drew Jesus in the battle or something. The guy who did it(I didn't even know he was helping on the drawing at the time) wasn't caught, though me and a friend were. They specifically asked if anyone else was in with it, but I covered him. And really, it's a good thing I did. I know his mom, she's strict and all that. He was really grateful.

Hehe, sweet random story I got there.

But I do like dat soldier. :D

lol you needs to put a curved line on his ass to make it correct so his legs dont look hooked together at the hip. lol i have a jack ton of these rough sketches but i dont wanna scan them cause that will take forever, and i wont scan only one because i cant decide which is my best.

well the leg that is in front is his left leg, and behind is right, that might make it look better for you
