I made this in school. It was a project for Design shop.

A client (Boston's Center for the Music and Arts) wants a poster for a concert called "Traveling Rock".
The concert will be on the 25th of September.
Try to stick to minimal colors.
Make it very Eye Catching.
Select 5 bands, of your choice.

Of course this isn't a real concert, but I came up with this:

NEW IMAGE: (Click for Full Size) Sized down a little. I also edited the Daft Punk logo for Cuda =]
Image

THE FOLLOWING WERE TAKEN ON A CAMERA!
Click for High-res picture. (Sorry the color looks washed out because of my camera)

The poster is 4.5 feet tall and 3 feet wide.

Please bare with me, these are just pictures taken with a camera. I'll get the PSD, make a Jpeg, and upload it tomorrow. I am also totally aware, that these bands would probably never play with each other. Do not rate the music. Rate the design.

Please rate :]

Daft Punk and Tool would be the most epic collaboration ever.

Poster looks pretty cool, I'd say it's a job well done...it gets its point across and meets the assignment's requirements.

Thanks, I know it's not the best. I was also very tired, and we only had a little while to do it. I still hate the random grunge brushing, I don't know what I was thinking >_>

I also agree though. Tool and Daft Punk would be amazing, especially with the light shows they both put on =]

Thanks though.

Looks like how I would expect a professional advertisement to look. Excellent execution.

There's only one problem.
You put Tool at the bottom.

I would KILL to go to that concert, if it was real. Extremely good job. We had to do something like this once at my old school. Mine turned out horrible.

One thing is irritating me. Daft doesn't have it's regular font.

The overall image is quite nice, but also a bit too bright. Looks like someone took a picture of your poster with flash. I'd mess with the Photoshop levels a bit and make it a little warmer.

The first picture? Its cause he did take a picture with a camera.

I know...
I brought in a Daft Punk logo. But it was a PSD I made on CS3. It wouldn't load on the Macs at school which only have CS. So I made my own Logos for Killswitch, and Daft Punk.

My camera is terrible with flash in large rooms. So it washed out all the colors, causing it to be very bright. I tuned it a little in Photoshop to fix it as much as I could.

I was referring to the original anyway, not the one taken with a camera. New one looks better, Trent's hands look way messed up though. No worries though, I'd say it's alright.

I know his hand does look really weird... The render was so small though. I had trouble resizing it so I made it look like a cartoon/threshold type thing.

BTW, the first big one I posted was on a camera, along with the picture ont he wall. The most recent was the PSD I brought home.
