- Use high quality renders, and learn how to properly place it in the sig (do a good job cutting it out, scale it, dont distort it, dont make it too small, etc.)
- Add simple, 1 pixel borders to all of your sigs.
- Create good backgrounds that have depth and reflect the render's overall fell. (Is it a dark, scary render? Use grunge. Futuristic mech? Use tech.)
- Blend the render with the background by matching colors, lowering opacity, etc.
- Give the sig some contrast, this can easily be done.
- Don't use horrid, ugly text. Try to incorprate the text into the sig, if you cant do that use a pixel font and place it in a corner.
- Use a reasonable size, I suggest 400x100 or 300x90.
Hope I helped
