[Tutorial] Converting Brushes
Posted: Sat Dec 17, 2005 1:13 am
Well, here is a step by step mini tutorial I made.
Note: If you only have one version of photoshop, I am pretty sure you could download a trial of 3.0 somewhere. Or you could just buy it for $20 or somthing.
Open the Brushes you are going to convert in Photoshop CS.
Start a new file and make it was big as it needs to be for the brushset to fit, (meaning if you have a 640x640 size brush make it around 700x700 just in case).
Go to the first brush, select it and dab it on one layer (only one little click).
Make a new layer and dab with the next brush.
When you have done that with all the brushes, save it as a .PSD file.
Open you're lowest version of Photoshop (In my case it is 3.0).
Search for the psd open it, and clear a space in a brushset, to fill it with new ones.
Make all the layers invisible by pressing the little eye in the layers window, except the one you want to convert one (could be bottom or top one dosn't matter).
Go hit define brushset and from there you just make all the layers invisible, but the one you are converting. Then you save it as a brush. There you have it works for that version of photoshop and above.
(Pictures to come later when it isn't 1AM)
