It wont be very precise or straight.

You hold down shift while dragging making the line.
That makes it go completely straight.

But it's something different. It also is not what I wanted. I really did not want to use brushes.

Use the Pen Tool. This tool creates perfect curved lines.

(He wanted curved lines, Maca, not straight lines.)
