scenarios\solo\01a_tutorial\01_bsp_1

Story:

After the Covenant invasion of Earth, the UNSC decided not to be so picky as to where they trained their soldiers...

Description:

I worked on this thing for awhile, but got relatively, "busy," and I never really could think of anything to add it. I blame lack of creativity. Not to mention, I have absolutely no time these days to do any modding.

It was really an experimental mod. It's a BSP Swap, one that I think no one has yet done. You're in a closed off area, of course, so you're not jumping around in space or whatever(though it is fun to do...).

- Weapon spawns have been placed.
- Player spawns have been placed.
- I messed with the HUD Color Editor. But really, I wouldn't really call it an 'improvement' over the original.
- BSP Swap.

That's, unfortunately, all I can think of at the moment.

I've sorta got outta modding for awhile, and thought I'd get this one out before I just forgot about it.

I know, not exactly groundbreaking stuff here, but it's an interesting map.

Patch(serenity): http://www.megaupload.com/?d=OVHV4Y69
Patch(SPPF): http://www.megaupload.com/?d=GMSNET4P

And there we go! That's about it, folks.

Oh and if you have a 'negative' comment, feel free to not post. This mod wasn't exactly made for 'quality' purposes, nor do I have time to mod, so a negative comment is a waste of both our times.

Oh really? Wow, don't I feel silly.

I've not downloaded a map pack for fear of the complexity of one.

Meh.

Interesting. I thought this map was just a piece of scenery way back in the day. I didn't know it was an actual bsp. So then this obviously has proper collision which is awesome. This looks like a fun map to play if somebody would like to finish it.

I think this was worked on at one point by somebody but they were using a make-shift way to create scenery...i'm guessing through the use of machines. It's been awhile for Halo2 modding for me.

Yeah, HSM worked on one, with custom doors, needlers, etc. It's really nice, but I think yours is more styled towards competitive gameplay.

Also, what ever happened to JC and HSM? /offtopic

I'll see what I can do.
Although I haven't released any mods as of yet.
I do have quite a package of mods that are, fun no doubt, but not quite worthy of uploading.
If I do anything good with this BSP I'll be sure to upload it.
Thanks again Aumaan
*EDIT* Aumaan, The map is good the reticule colour (black) is quite a nice effect.
All the spawns are good, No covenant weapons (typical in a human surrounding)
No freezing points, no corruptions, Everything seems perfect as is =]
I found it strange that You've placed a magnum on the outside of the room..
Is it special in anyway or did a spaceman leave it there?
:D
I shall start my mod on this soon.
Not much to do but i'm thinking a whole range of gametypes to use
like: Speedy CTF or king for a short time.

I'm not exactly sure what happened to JC but Headshot stopped modding halo2. I've seen a few things he's done with Halo1 but I think he's more about just gaming now. Although...i've been waiting to see him online because we were supposed to test some stuff he did. We shall see...

Nothing Headshotmasta made was for competitive gameplay really. Unless he says otherwise...his mods are/were creative and made strictly to enjoy and gawk at for being so pretty.

agreed we played his version of this bsp and it was easy to just get spawn trapped, but i do like this one better seems more clean and evenly distributed.

Thanks for the comments, guys!

I thought it sucked, but thanks. :P

Yay.

0.o I had no idea. I just clicked a bunch of human weapons and collectively moved them toward the structure. I guess it just didn't make it inside.

Yeah, the only thing I really regret doing is not fixing gametypes.
