XMLs For You

Hey Everyone.
Lately looking through some of the plugins that come standard with programs like DotHalo and ADI I've noticed how skimpy they really are. Some tags have only 2 or three options, let alone a plugin somtimes. So I thought to myself, well Im going to find a bunch of unknowns and then find out what they do.
So basically I've started a project to update many of the existing XML plugins with unknowns and then find out what they do for the benefit of the entire modding community. I would also like to invite anyone who would like to help me test my new plugins to join the cause.
Ive already started and here for your testing are 7 updated plugins. There is the jpt!, lens (dont know why

), bloc, bipd, foot, effe, and eqip.
These 7 plugins have been updated with many unknowns and I would like you to help me find out what they do. So if you would like to join the cause please post here your feedback and download the plugins. Once had, the easiest way of determining the use of each value (or the uselessness) is to greatly change the existing value for several different objects in the tag, start your map up and see what the effect it. If there is an effect or lack of one please PM with the details so that I can change or remove that value in the plugin and give it an updated name.
Im not sure if this seems all appealing to you. You probably wondering "who is this guy who wants me to do long hours of testing with no reward?". Well.... I guess you have a point, but the good news is you will be benefitting the entire modding community and once some of the plguins are finished you will have the honor and glory of being in the credits and smirking while you say "hehe... I helped make that...".
Heres those 7 plugins in .rar format.

Um TRP Xml Style mb...
Dothalo and ADI are rarely used tools because we have Entity now...

I know, but many many people who still do minor mods use DotHalo and ADI. I thought I'd like to benefit them too since all the programs that are coming out are only benefitting those that have the knowledge to use better programs.
Plus Entity and others can use XMLs so its kind of a work around for others. Once I better understand the stucture of IFP's or Ents I could always do conversions

That is a wrong statement, Many people do still use ADI for spawning and Dothalo for dependancie swapping, Meta editing, And injecting and saving meta.

I for one am one of the people who use Dothalo daily, Although i also use Entity for all my spawning needs.
On topic- This seems to be a great idea, But it will need some people who know how to make plugins.

Thanks man.
I do have some experience making plugins. Im not great, but finding changeable values is my specialty. The idea really was though that I dont really need people who know how to make plugins I just need people to test my plugins and find out what each unknown does. No knowledge of plugins required!

you know you could just go throught the ifp/ent's which trp made and take the values from them
we've found hundreds of values already
and a lot of plugins are almost complete and some are complete

Very very few are complete with entity. If you go to show>unknown 20+ new values come up with every tag. Plus making the plugins isnt the big plan here, the plan is to find the unknowns and update the XMLs.
(and it makes me feel warm and tingly inside)

the plugins which come with entity are out of date unless theyve updated them in a recent build
and theres no poitn figuring out unknowns which have already been figured out
so really the "big plan" must be to make teh plugins because before you try to find more unknowns for your xmls you'll need to update them with the values which have already been found
and that will take a very long time thanks to the xml format, unless someone made a program to do it

Unilat, your signature can't be animated, and can't be over 75kb.

Interesting... Ill change it once I find a new one thanks for the info.
But why cant it be over a kb limit if its on my server? Lol and whats so wrong with animation

I love that little guy.
Oh and responding to ^posts above^ the xml and ent are very different. They arent as easily converted because of the different way they handle the data types. Some datatypes arent usable or arent mapped for xmls or they are mapped differently and wouldnt work as they do in entity.

Because dial-up users don't appreciate big images.

Dothalo eats my maps. All the time.

Yeah dothalo and adi are still used ALOT. If im creating a new map im definately going to use adi over any program available for any type of dependency swap. So for anybody to sya that those apps are obsolete, must be retarded. One app to me that is 90% obsolete is Insolence.

Just in case you didnt read the fine print

To bad though, I've seen the help you give around here and you definitely deserve to run on something a bit faster

(hehe, did that increase your happiness level? I think you should add an extra green bar to that.)

I believe that xbox7887's "happiness level" reflects his
"Happiness Campaign," not the compliments he gets because he gets a lot of those.
Anyways, I'm sure someone will find these useful, though I personally like IFPs/Ents better.

I do appreciate how nicely the Ents are done I just believe they are too crowded. Its actually quite hard sometimes to find what you are looking for!
Oh and... No takers yet to help me test out and find possible usages for these values?

XML's are kinda old school. Especially the format you are wanting. I prefer Blue Gurilla's format over all the others. Anyways, heres a few that I updated a while back for Entity's XML Loader. I added most defined floats, shorts, and bitmasks, I was too lazy to do the reflexives (Not to mention that they are hard to work with in most XML loading programs) They are...

well guys i use dothalo and adi all the time. in fact if it wasn't for dothalo and adi, my mods would come out 10 times lamer. although I use insolence to do most of my work, dothalo and adi are my friends and they have never failed me. except for when dothalo refuses to close. Entity is an advanced program that sometimes acts up on my old pc and i can't even build right with entity sometimes.
