We always had to null this tag when we did SP - MP BSP Conversions. If you've mapped out the plugin, will this help us at all? (As in being able to keep the sounds of grunts, etc.?)

No, that's a transfering problem. There's an easy work around for it though.

i don't ever recall [udlg] having to do anything with BSP Conversions. ... AI, yes ...
