HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

Well I've decided to go all out and make a UX menu too!! This is a pre-beta! The only maps playable right now are Bloodgulch and chillout. And these are mere teasers. This isn't what the final MP maps are gonna be, but there two maps have the general feel of what MP will be like. The menu has several options. Here is a quick runthrough on the menu:

Launch Halo- *Launch the original, unmodded version of Halo.
Launch Reach- Launches the new ui with the Reach modded maps.
Clear Cache- Deletes all cache files in the selected drive.
File Explorer- This allows you to explore your Xbox as if you were using an FTP app from your computer
Reboot- restarts your Xbox to your original dashboard
Shut Down- turns off your Xbox

*This option will only work if you have the maps from your Halo CD in the maps folder.

Also note that this menu will only work on your F drive. If you feel the need to use this on your E drive, download the attachment below, unzip the config.xml and overwright the config.xml in the halo folder.

Well.. First I think this should be in Halo Maps, but I could be wrong.... nevermind this isnt done.

DLing now looks nice. But I'm just gonna put this in with the other map packs, I have a little thing that has all these map packs and an extra folder for other stuff... I forgot what it's called, it's in Halo Maps. I'll edit this when I try it.

I got the idea from that and the guy who made it answered some questions about how to make it. This menu is for this mappack only. You can also play the original Halo maps if you put the .map files in the right folder.

Yeah, I know... I'm just saying, I'm not gonna use this menu... lol the other one's just as good.

Well I just tried the mod.... it's ok, but the AR, Rocket and Pistol are overpwered, and the PR and Sniper are way underpowered... if you could make it more balanced it would be ok, but I suggest giving the grenades more power too, considering the other weapons.

Believe it or not, this is probably one of the most balanced modded weapon sets I have seen in a while. True weapons are underpowered. For now. This is a pre-beta.

Ya, this would be really fun if you added more power to a fe weapons, for now its frustrating at times. Also, change starting weapon or make it sstronger, a weapon that can stand a good chance would be nice.

this makes me wish i knew how to mod xbox instead of pc =(

neat, i love it! but u sshud make the menu that u can fly around space and the planet with the right analog stick like a flycam, that would be awesome!

Sorry, forgot to ask a question... If I can download it, can I put it on disc?
I'm hoping that if I can play this on my friends unmodded xbox, I will be able to extract some H2 update maps so they can be moddded without modding an xbox.

You could PM Elite and ask him for it and no, you probably won't be able to play this on your buddies Xbox.
