HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

I have Windows Vista Premium, and got it on a HP laptop. There is this window that keeps popping up saying 3 things. Register Now, Register Later, Do Not Remind Me, then an ok box. I have tried them all over 20 times each. It pops up randomly about every 20-30 minutes. When I do register, I type in all my information, then hit ok, and it says Success! Congratulation your computer has now been registered. Then, sure enough, 20-30 minutes later it's back.

well clearly it wants you to register your computer. but idk why it keeps coming up. btw if you hit register later it WILL come back up. and hitting do not register should make it go away forever but maybe not.

you should probably consult Microsoft.

Yea, I know pretty much everything you told me. That was common sense.

Already did, found nothing even close.

It's a really bad pet peeve or what ever. I just hate it. I have gotten to the habbit now where I alt f4 it everytime.

I am thinking of doing a Reformat, but, it's such a small problem.

Does the registration matter to you?
If no, then Ctrl+Shift+Escape and kill the process that opens the window.

loks like an hp thing and not a vista thing, maybe try calling hp.

or once you figure out what process it is, take it out of startup by editing the appropriate registry key, taking it out of the startup folder, or looking through msconfig and taking it out of that.

I'm pretty sure if it was HP they would at least spell "maximize" right.

I asked Tural about that and he said that english people might spell it that way. Or what ever.
