bsp's why so few

ya i was wondering how come there were so few bsp's that we modders can convert into playable maps?

So, there is a bsp size, for every muliplayer map. And as you could tell, most single player maps are WAY bigger than multiplayer maps, aka there bsp size is larger. When you try and put a bsp that is larger into a bsp that is smaller(a multiplayer map), the map blackscreens, just because. So that is why only the bsps that are smaller than that map fit into that selected map. That might not have made any sense, but hopefully it did.

no that makes sense i know that only bout 3 mp maps are large enough to hold a sp bsp and only a few of them at that i was messing around in entity just now and looking at some of the sp bsp's and how large they are and it got me thinking wouldn't there be anyway to null some of the map to scale down its size or would that be way beyond anyone's ability?

No, becasue entity does not yet have the ability to edit the mesh of the sbsp ( the way it looks) it cannot yet be done. If this helps you, I have made a list, (I did not steal this from P8ntballer) of what sbsps fit under gemini.

I forgot to mention that some of these sbsp's require you to transfer the deca tags and overwrite it in the scnr for it to work. (It is required in mostly the cinemtaics maps I believe).

That's a nice list, however certain BSP's won't work even with all necesary tags restored. So keep that in mind when choosing a BSP to convert.
