[Halo 2] Maps just won't load.

Ok, I made some mods for a couple of SP maps, and they worked fine for a really long time. The other day, I made a skin for outskirts (yes it was modded) and injected it in the map. Now it won't load at all any more, the loading bar thing goes REALLY slow and then eventually a message about a dirty disc comes up. Fortunately (or so I thought) I made a backup of my modded map. I did not touch the backup once. So I transfered over the backup, and it still will not load. Finally I transfered over the untouched clean original map, and it STILL wont load! I cleared the cache, resigned, everything I could think of, and it just will not load for me anymore.

I would just get the maps off the disc, but I want my modded one back if that's even possible.
If anyone can help me with this, I would greatly appreciate that.
Thanks

Yeah it sounds like your singleplayershared.map is corrupt. Try getting a clean version off the h2 disc and see if that does it.

And just to make sure...you aren't running any trainers are you?
My recent lockout mod still refuses to load with yelo in its original state...
but I renamed it to zanzibar.map and it worked fine.
Try that here if SPS.map doesn't fix it (not that this is an actual fix)

Lockout screws up because the content downloads. Every time bungie released a map pack they added a patch to add it to the main menu, this however disables the lockout slot. They then release an Auto Update to fix lockouts problem. Yelo disables the Auto Update but not the patch. Since the patches have no Auto Update to fix the lockout issue then lockout wont work.
To make lockout work with yelo (or any other trainer), dont just rename the $u folder, rename the $c folder as well and the lockout slot should work with or without a trainer.
