Trying to playback short video for Halo 2 for intro_60

Post by Modify_inc »

I'm trying to make a short video clip for Halo 2, just mainly messing around, and there seems to be a problem with the file being to big. I can make a 2 or 3 second video clip and it plays when halo 2 is loaded, but if it's around 50mb or more, it just shows the loading 1-100%, then goes to mainmenu. It won't even try to play the video.

Does anyone know more about the limitations of the video playback? Yes, I'm uisng the latest version of Bink.

Halo 2 will only play the intro If It's under 30Mb. Or probably less, I can't remember.

thanks, thats what I needed to know. lol I had one that was 150mb, then 54mb, and it was driving me crazy. I didn't realize there was a file size limitation until I just put a clip around 1mb and it worked.

You could set the 150 MB or 50 MB to the attract_60.bik so after a minute or so sitting in the main menu it will start showing.

Could you swap the attract one with the intro one, then edit the attract one instead of the intro one?
