Failed to load lockout using v1.0, v1.1 loads fine

Post by Modify_inc »

You know how you get the message, downloaded content is corrupted message when you go back to the original version of Halo 2 after downloading the new maps from the map pack. Well I get it using v1.1, and I don't get the message when going back to the original, and ontop of that I can't load lockout it's says failed to load map immeditaly when I just select it from the list. Yet if I load the v1.1, it loads fine, but says my downloaded content is damaged.

Why is this, and how do I fix it?

Lockout is weird like that, you need to Rename the $C Folder to get it to work.

You need to rename the $c folder. It contains the updates downloaded from Halo 2 Multiplayer Map Pack. This happens when you use Yelo or Halo ScreenCap Trainer. I don't know why it does it but it's very wierd...

EDIT: I posted late not knowing he posted the answer already... >_<

What do you mean both of them. $U is the only one you change, $C is left alone.

For Lockout to load, you must rename both the $U and $C folders.

Or, remove the Patch.lvl located in the first Tdata folder.

Meh, I'm not up-to-date with methods, I simply stated what I knew to be a solution.
