[Halo 2] BSP Conversion freezing issue.

Recently, I have done a BSP conversion of the Mombasa Bridge to Gemini. The result was good, however, when I get to the tunnels, and walk on a certain black spot in the Lightmap, it freezes, if I spawn a [Bloc] on it, it freezes as well, if I get close to it in a vehicle, it freezes also. How can I solve this?

hmmm mabye something is supposed to be there in single player and you didnt bring it over when you did the bsp conversion. i dont know other than that

Just brings over all the [bloc] and [scen] reflexives from the SP [scnr] tag, and overwrite Gemini's. Make sure you transfer the actual Bloc and scenery tags first.

I might have to. MT's idea seems to boost the size of my map, wich is already too close to 80MB as it is.

only way to fix it
it's a missing [scen] h_semi_trailer on that black spot... i thought you knew this slayer410 lol ur funny.. ur so leet dont even know how to fix this little problem

(fyi it's thesame process as restoring the DECA on the spacestation bsp to fix freezing)
bloc aren't necessary to fix the freezing tho. on the bridge it's the missing scen that make your map freeze..
igeo: end of bsp limit? lol thats a really wild guess there is it? i know what you mean, but the point where the bsp doesnt allow you to go further is a little bit further then the pic shows.

Haha. Funny how I have a perfectly working, non-freezing bridge- that which has no scen restored.
Also, once at the end of the bsp, there is nothing. It's up the tunnel pipes, right where the next bsp loads.. and no, it doesn't freeze.

How exactly would you do that? In entity, could you clone those reflexives from the SP map, and add them to Gemini? Or would you have to delete Gemini's first?

Select the reflexive in the Chunk Cloner, hit "Copy to clipboard", then goto the Chunk Cloner in Gemini, select the Scenery Placement reflexive, hit "Overwrite chunk/reflex" then hit add meta to map. Then do the same for the other reflexives.

IF I were to copy the placement of only the semi trailer, and put that in, would that fix it? Or does it only work with all the Scens?

Is he obligated to help? No.
He's providing facts, which, although don't seem that helpful, teach us new things all the time. I'd still be trying to dependency swap weather into Foundation if it wasn't for him. He didn't tell me how to do it, he just told me what was wrong, and a few things that work. From that I've gotten quite close to weather in any MP map.
So you leave slayer alone.

I don't see much fact in his posts. He only brags about having a so-called "perfect" bridge. The only thing close to a fact would be how he told us what happens when you get to the end of a BSP, wich isn't of much use here.
So if he
does have an actual solution, I'd like to hear it.

then why does he posts here.. this forum is suppose to help others.. all he does is talk about his perfect bridge without the [scen] without explanation.. we could not care.. i'm providing specops with help so he can fix this. Southside > Mimesis > who ought to know this stuff ? > that'd be me.. ps munsie mb you get some extra strong gummi and give it to him
all you'd have to do is inject the [scen] h_semi_trailer, and take the scen placement/scen palette reflexive and overwrite them in your own scnr.

Oh, my mistake, I forgot you spend too much time critizing him to have a conversation with him on AIM. I talked to him about the bridge thing, and although I didn't understand a good deal of it, it made sense.
