Loading maps

what is the mechanism in the mainmenu or map or shared map that allows a map to load? example.. foundation. You can only load this map if u beat the game. if you ftp that map, and inject it into the mainmenu, without beating the game will it work? what is the mechanism behind what is allowed to load & what isnt? cant you rename the map "foundation" to "lockout" and adjust the hex name id tags & main menu? since lockout is already included in the main menu?

Yes you would can.

Yes you could do that too. Making the map load depends on the scenario tag of the map like scenario\mult\zanzibar\zanzibar without that the map wouldn't load from the mainmenu. Now if you were to rename zanzibar.map to lockout.map the scenario would be assumed as if it is lockout.

you can rename any map into ascension.map, and play it as ascension without the use of hex...
in your mainmenu.map you can easily remove the LOCKED option for foundation..
