open command phrompt and type
ping "site name"
it will give you a ip that you type in the address bar. Sometimes sites just don't cooperate with the ping though.

there's a reason i posted this in the tutorials section. try using the search function next time.

also, seeing how they block the game website (i think it's what you're trying to get at, but i have to guess because you didn't describe your problem very well) just download the setup at home, hen install it to your computer, and then again to something like a flash drive. if you don't have a flash drive, just setup and update the game like normal, then get the C:\Program Files\MAIET\gunz folder, copy t, and send it to yourself via email. then simply check your email at school, download the attachment, and you have gunz. if the Gunz folder is to large to be sent over email practically, even if zipped or .rared, just send the installer file.

If you have a good size USB Device, Try Putting an alternate browser on it. If its windows, Firefox. If its a Mac, Netscape or IE.

1.Try tools>internet options>security>trusted sites. Then you just enter the site name in the box given, and be sure to click ok. However after you log off the site will have been erased from the memory, its reverts to default.

2. Try an unknown proxy or a new proxy. Since most schools block the most well known ones.

3. And if you want to enetr the game dont download it onto the computer. If the system detects it automatically deletes it.

some schools(like mine) Will automatically delete any new programs, then End Explorer.exe and turn off.

try going home and installing the game, and then updating it, and then goin to "C:\Program Files\MAIET\Gunz"" on your home computer, copying the "Gunz" folder onto some media to bring it to school, and bring it to school. if taht doesn't work, download Tor (google search for it) and start it up before you run the game launcher, then end it after the game starts, or just keep it going and live with the lag.

but the best solution is to just play gunz at home. school's for learning, so just learn whil you're there, and if you're really that bored, talk to friends or something. honestly, playing a full-screen game at school is probably one of the best ways to get banned from the computers. and please use puntuation in your posts so they are easier to understand.

i believe that Tor is what you're looking for. download it and try it out, although it will make your connection slower, it should get past the web blocks.

Tor works the same way as a proxy as far as configuring it to work. It doesn't do it by itself.

If it blocks it even with a proxy, sounds like some websense-style content filtering. There's probably something you can do to get around it, but why not just download it at home and bring it to school on a CD or whatever? This seems like you're doing way more work than necessary.

You probably want to check if Gunz even has an option for using proxies first.

EDIT: I just realized, you might be able to get to it through a proxy supporting https, which would encode the data so that whatever filters it won't be able to read it (unless it does it afterwards, I guess)

You could also just get the IP address with the path to the file also, which would let you not have to navigate the site at all.
