You have to reformat your harddrive I'm pretty sure.

Burn them on CD's then, or put them on your iPod if you have one.

Meh, it seems easyer just to keep Vista. I haven't really encountered any bugs yet, besides on time my keyboard was locked, thats it. I'll just keep vista until MS makes make get off, But I havea feeling that that will come at a very bad moment.

Nope.

If you know how you don't reformat. You would keep the file system you have in place and just reinstall windows.

I feel your pain; I just couldn't stand Vista anymore. Took me a whole day to reinstall Windows. None of my stuff was deleted though. :D

Cant you copy the folder to another computer? And then uninstall and then copy again?

Doesn't have to be that complicated. As I said, I did fine just installing windows without formatting the drive.

And regarding multi's question: The reason Vista is terrible is because of three reasons:

1. It is still a work in progress OS.

2. It crashes as much as ME and 98 put together.

3. The blue screen of death has returned.

Hmm, I've never had a problem with my Vista. Except for lack of compatibility with programs at this point. But, that should all clear up in good time.

Yep. It is has that next gen feel where even if you have no experience with computers it explains in a neat little paragraph what was wrong.

Unlike the old blue screen where you can't find the problem easily.

Oh did I mention that it shuts your computer down automatically in 5 seconds after the screen appears? Very convienient... .

I was playing Jet Force Gemini on Project 64, and wanted to cheat to get no heat, so I had some hex values locked, well it turns out these were actually connected to my player I think. So when I died, I got the BSOD. It was kinda funny. But I restarted and everything was fine.

I had it on my old NT operating system but I have never encountered it on XP.

You see guys, its not that I'm afraid of reinstalling windows or anything, as I have done it before, but its that I can't find my XP CD. My dad took it when I stupidly bought a computer from dell so I wouldn't loose it, well now he denies that he took it and I can't find it.
