ipod nano linux help

So i did some tut on how to put linux on your ipod....heres my problem.....
I got to the part where they told me to install linux and when the installation was complete i DISCONECTED(sp?) THE IPOD!!! but i didnt read the rest of the paragraph, so when i disconected the ipod some code came up and now its frozen on teh screen!
So my question is....do i wait until its battery runs out or is my ipod dead?

ok, I dont think your iPod isnt fried.
Check with windows can detect it first. Then see if you can completely reformat it by either using windows or the HP USB Reformatter tool. Put the Apple firmware back on, and restart the tutorial with the "aes.exe" part. If its stuck in limbo, and you iPod dies, you're screwed, Unless you have a AC Wall adapter to put a charge in it, and try restarting it and hooking it up. If your comp cant read it, and you plug it up, it wont hold a charge.

If you send it to Apple, they'll give you a new one. My friend's exploded and they gave him a new one for free. (and it was a Video, the expensive one.)

Theres no wai for an video Ipod to "explode" with out some kind of explosive..
IT bare has ANY moving parts.

Well theres 2 things...
1.My iPod is frozen on this screen that has some codes on it.
2.Dont you need insurance on your iPod to get a new one?
Btw, where can i find the HP USB Reformatter?

They can't give you a new one for messing up that one. You modified the Software that came on it, It's not their responsibility. Did you follow the steps I gave you?

Its ok guys my ipod works now! What i did was kept it on all night long then when it was morning it was back to teh menu! BTW, thank you guys so much! This site is the greatest!
