Problems with Skinning

I have photoshop and I have succesfully placed the DDS plugin. I can extract bitmaps and for one I used coag_grass from Coagulation. I open it up in Photoshop, make it darker, and then save it as DXT1 just like it said in DotHalo. I inject it into coagulation.map, resign and ftp back to my xbox. When I load the map, I see no changes. Any idea why this happens?

I have the same problem i also have heard that if you delete everything in your x,y,z folders it will work but it didnt work for me.
