People can't join my server. I was talking with Patrickssj6, and he said something like I have to split my router. Does anybody know what he's talking about, and if so how do I split it?

Snap it in half. That's how you split it. >_>
You need to forward and trigger your ports, given you have a router that supports triggering.
Most networking brands, Linksys, Netgear, Belkin, all have online support and you could ask them how to do this via online chat.
Basically, you have to log into your router and tell the router that when it receives data on these particular ports, to reply instead of just dropping it.

Will this sacrifice anything? I have Linksys, could you tell me how?
