Flood in mp help

ok i followed this tut on how to put a flood combat from into mp and making it not freeze the game when it explodes http://files.halomods.com/viewtopic.php?t=53236
but i didnt understand the second part of it when it explains how to make it not to freeze. i tried to follow it but i failed. it still froze. can some1 explain in easier terms how to make so it doesnt freeze?
