needing help with modding

i know the title is stupid, but maybe that draws the attention im lokking for 
any ways, ive got a modded xbox for over a year now, and i stil dont know any thing about modding.
as i look on this site and its brilliant mods, i think of myself as a true noob cause i dont understand how to mod any thing.
i know there are tutorials, but i cant seem to understand them, my english isnt that good. (im dutch)
so i have a few simpel question, maybe some one can direct me to site tutorials and stuf liek that.(i already tryed to ask ppl on halomaps.com but they arnt very active)
1* how do i make a video out of what i am doing on halo? for exampel, im tryng to record my newly made map, and i want to make pics and vids of it, how do i do that? i already found a post on this site regarding that, but i didnt make any sens, neither did the tutorial.
2* ive seen race tracks and totaly diferent maps then im used to, how do i do that? for exampel, there is a bridge over coagulation, how can i make such a thing? and yes ive found other topics on some site but also they where not very understandable.
*3 what programs and stuf like that do i need for the things i want to do?
if some one could tel me all this, i would be soooooooo greatful to that person, and then i could finily add make mods and ad them to this site there collection thank you very much in advance, and i hope some one could help me out with a few thing.
