HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

Ok, I recently purchased Halo PC. I wanna mod on it. So i looked around trying to figure it all out myself in this web site...can't find it . So...I have a few questions...

(1.) I know when u download maps, you save it in a "Map" folder in the game's folder...How do you get the map folder?

(2.) How do I download the mods that aren't a full map? (Ex: Skins)
(I know where to get them...Just not where to save them and stuff.)

I know I sound noobish....and there's probably a post or something that tells me this....but please help.

ok to get to your maps folder

My Computer>C:>Program Files>Microsoft Games>Halo>MAPS.

thats if you did a default install, which you probably did.

as for skins and models open up the map in HMT and go to the bitmap tag if it is a skin, or the mod2 tag if it is a model. find the item the skin or model is for and import it into the map. but be sure to back up the original if you want it later
