Somethings wrong with the patch

Its the same thing with the Patch searcher in the CE folder. Whenever I try to apple the 1.07 CE patch, it looks like it loads for a second, but stops. When I press it enough, the Halo picture with the words "Waiting for game to close" flashes across if I press it enough. Help?
