HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

I installed Halo PC and CE on my computer, added all the maps It needs, but when i try to play, no servers show and the scrolling message bar under the MP server list only says:

"manual update required! go to www.microsoft.com/games/halo/downloads.asp"

I went and downloaded all types of patches, and even did a google search to get updates for both halo PC and CE. after installing, nothing has changed! Wtf??

i asked my friend where he got the proper files to get it up and running, he pointed me here. what files do i need? is there a certain order to do things?

plz respond, i wanna get up and playing asap.

did you buy the game yourself, or did you just get it off of someone else...

if u buyed it and are legit, then it should work, maybe.. and only maybe u should check the filters, but that doesnt make much of a difference. what u can also check at is becuz u just installed it, check ur firewall settings, maybe ur firewall blocked it.

yes, and otherwise install CE again, from a different and reliable mirror if u didnt do in the first place..
