Using Mods/Maps

how do you use this map. i am new and dont know how to work most mods but i unzipped it into my MAPS folder in the halo directory but cant play it in halo so how do i do it?

What is "this map". I take it this is for Halo PC, correct? If it is a .map file for Halo 1, it is most likely for Halo CE, which you can get
here

ok sorry refrase. i downloaded a map from this website called SNiper something and i want to try it out. so i put it into my Halo map directory but when i run halo or halo custom edition i cant play the map

You need to be more specific. We don't know what map you're talking
about. You might have more luck asking on the site you DL'd it from.
If you can't do that then we need more info to help you out....
Whats the name of the file you DL'd
Is it a PPF or a .map file
Which version of Halo is it for.
Someone here might recognise it.

or Sniper Canyon Redux for HaloCE and i put it in my Halo maps directory and it doesn't work. thats what i need help with and it is a .map file

You know that means Custom Edition, right? Make sure you are using Halo Custom Edition, not Halo Combat Evolved. :-p

and put it in C:/Program Files/Microsoft Games/Halo Custom Edition/Maps/ and then run halo CUSTOM EDITION.
