Messed up computer

ok i have a compaq persario with windows xp home edition installed on it. i cant check my emials, i cant update my profile, i cant upload images, i cant upload any files at that matter. i cant register for forums, i cant post on some forums and i cant make long posts on ones i can post on. is there anything i can do to fix it. the guy at compaq said there is but he said it would be 40 bucks for support info on it. plz help

I think this would be your firewall or internet settings. Didn't you post this in the files forum?

yes i did but no, i dont think its a firewall problem cause it did it even before my firewall was installed

check your computer for spyware, that might be the problem...

Yea, I was gonna say that if he meant if it freezes up.
That might be either too many processes or big processes that take to much CPU count or Processing mem.
If so just delete the spyware or get a new processor.

maybe i could help but, you should be more specific..any error messages? if so take a SS and post it...cant really help you by just reading ur text

it doesnt gimme an error or ne thing, it just sits there loading it and same for everything else. i know it isnt my internet though cause i can check my mail on my xbox and my dads computer and my dads computer will do ne thing such as uploading files and we share a connection so i know its my cmoputer and no, i dont havwe ne spy ware

Can you access shared files on your computer or Xbox? It could be that your ethernet cable or the port on your router is messed up.

Could be your cookie settings.. Lower them Control panel > Internet options > Privacy I have mine on medium Works great for me.
