Mac - Can't access startup video settings

My system does not correctly recognize my CPU upgrade and therefor neither does Halo. When starting up the game I am forced to hold down "p" to skip this cpu test and continue the game anyway. Well, because I have to do this each time, there is no way for me to access the 'special' video settings accessed at startup by holding down the command key. Is there anyway to get around this? I have tried deleteing the Halo prefs file but then I just need to reenter my serial key. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Also, I have tried reinstalling but the only time that video dialog appeared was the VERY first time I played.... there MUST be some file saved somewhere because that dialog has never come up in any version after a reinstall.

Well, when it comes up the first time, make sure "Never show this dialog box again." isn't checked.
Then it *should* pop up every time.
As for why your Mac won't realize the CPU upgrade, try contacting Apple or updating your firmware. (although I doubt the firmware would do much....)
