Adding games to my HDD.

Post by D4rkFire »

Ok I made a folder called "Games" in my E: drive and then I made a folder in there called "Halo 2" and added my maps in there but when I load up my dash it says I dont have any games added. Any ideas on whats wrong??

Your dashboard is more than likely looking for games in the wrong areas. What dashboard are you using?

You can't just put the maps in there, how would it execute?

You need default.xbe, the media folder, the maps folder (with the fonts folder within) and probably something else that I just forgot =x

games/halo2/default.xbe
games/halo2/maps/(all maps you want) must have mainmenu and shared for MP
games/halo2/maps/fonts/(everything inside the fonts folder)

and that is all you need for halo 2
and it is doesn't find the default.xbe then u got a differant dash so just manually execute the xbe with the file explorer. I recomend going and getting the latest version of your dash off of xbins.
hope this helps
