marine permutation

Post by kibito87 »

how do i set the marine's permutation's so they spawn as one character rather than multiple characters with different accessories. (ya know, like how marines sometimes spawn with Lord Hood's white hat or Johnson's face.) I just want a normal marine that doesn't change his appearance while playing. Somebody knows how to do this :D.

Also, how do i make my elite's bare? Like the naked elites?

1.) Go into the [hlmt] for the marine, find the "Variation/Permutation" reflexive, goto the chunk of the marine you like the most, and change the StringID to "Default".

2.) Null out the armor shaders in the [mode] tag.

If i set it to default it doesn't stay. i hit save and nothing. it just goes back to normal... I'm guessing because it doesn't have the option to pick default. There's like default_cky and default_nrt but no just default. Plus i can change the stringID for both the permutation and and variation. Which do i change and like i said, it's not possible to change to default.

Same thing happened to me so I decided to use Entity 1.1.6 to change it to "default". What you need to do is when you are trying to edit it click on the drop down arrow and choose the blank. Then click the drop down arrow again and "default" should be the first thing there. Just choose it then Save.
