Precisely. But it would be good if there was some sort of backup that the administration of the forum could find and put back on important posts that were lost. :P

Halo CE Forum Rules

• When naming the topic's title, please use common sense and make it short and sweet, for example 'l33tmap1 - Single Player/Mulitplayer Mod' or alternativly nice and simple with just the map name 'leetmap1'.
• When creating a topic if you could please provide atleast one image of the map in question, this allows potential users to get a good idea of what the map will look and play like.
• If you're posting a map you didn't make be sure to give the author credit, If you've modded a map you didn't make be sure to give the author credit.
• The file extensions that are allowed to be uploaded onto the forum are:
gif, jpeg, jpg, png, tga, tif, rar, zip, ace, gtar, gz, and tar.(This means your map file must be compressed and cannot be posted as a .map).

Other Notes

Do not contact staff in any way possible for help, only PM/Email staff if a serious issue occurs.
If you see someone flaming or abusing other users in any form at all, please click the report button in the top right corner of posts. It looks like this -
The User Submitted Download Forums have grown tremendously in recent months, which has brought about many new users. There are many mods in our database, many of which are oustanding, which has made Halomods.com one of the most popular Halo modding sites. There are many good things about giving access to so many mods, but there are problems too. One of these problems is bumping.

Recently there has been an overkill of bumps (posting in old topics). This can/does annoy members, moderators, and admins. Rules are currently in place regarding bumping, but many users disregard or simply don't know the rules, which can be found here. So beginning in the next few days a new system will be put into action.

Bump Prevention System:

* Threads that reach the fourth page of the forum, will be locked. (Threads can be locked/unlocked at any time by any Moderator/Admin)
* If the owner of the thread wants to add/edit to their mod/utility, you must fill out a complaint form in the "Complaints and Suggestions" Forum. Once reviewed AND accepted, a Moderator/Admin will unlock the thread temporarily.
* If a user wants to compliment the creator of a mod/utility, simply PM (Personal Message) or Email the owner.
* If a thread has been locked, but you need help with the mod/utility posted, user should post in the "Tech Questions and Problems" Forum
* The consequences for not following the new system will be unique from case-to-case, or as the Moderator/Admin sees fit. Each failure to comply will result in a warning and/or strike. If problem persists, the user may be temporarily banned, or permanently banned at the discretion of the Junior Admininstrator, or Administrator.

If you have any other Complaints/Suggestions, please post them in the "Complaints and Suggestion" Forum.
For more information, please read the "Universal Halomods Rules".

These were the rules as of February 13, 2008. I assume they weren't changed.
But, as you may have noticed, some things are outdated.
