Common Xbox problems and their solutions

Post by killarzachary »

Latley I've been having a lot of trouble with my xbox, so I decided to save you all the trouble of having to find the solution yourself.

Can't connect to xbox without an FTP program:
If you get the error message that says you can't connect to your xbox, becuase you don't have permission and have to do something with the proxy, start by changing your IP Address. If this still dosen't work then I recommend searching for more solutions or just reinstalling your soft mod or hard mod.

Xbox is making CACHUNK like noise in sets of four:
This problem happens to my xbox every now and then. What I belive the sound is, is your xbox hard drive disk (HDD) jamed. When you turn on your xbox it will be making the sound and soon the LED will turn red, and their will be a message on the screen in six different language. Now for the sloution to the problem. If your xbox is on a shelf or something alike it, then bring it out into the open (you don't need to open the xbox). Now you want to turn it so that it is standing on its left. Put your hand on the back right of the xbox (while on its side) and push down. While pushing down you want to turn on the xbox and the sound might happen for a couple of seconds. If it is still not working then keep trying, but on different sides.

If you have any problems with your xbox post under this, if you want your tutorial for fixing your xbox added then just private message it to me or post it somewheres in the topic.

It would be more useful to tell how to do something rather then a few vague solutions...

If you can't gain access to your Xbox via FTP, "resetting your IP" is not going to solve a thing.

Every network is different, so there's really no way to find a solution for "Can't connect to xbox without an FTP program".
