where do i weld my model?
Two problems.
1) That's not a render
2) You should be looking at the right-hand side panel in Max, not the menu bar.

what do you mean thats not a render? Its what i have so far, and on the right side of max on weld, the menu is not clickable.....

ok i searched tuts, googled vertex mode in 3ds max, but i cant find how to get to vertex mode? Im seriously done if i get it welded adn ill be out of your hair FOREVER............

Just click the Vertex button on the Modify tab of the right panel.

Is it possible to weld even tho i pretty much have my model rendered? When i click weld i get a "no vertices within mesh threshhold" even tho it says i have 1000 selected...............

I have it at .001 but under selection it says 1826 selected, am i selectin the vertices right?

You have vertex number 1826 selected, not 1826 different vertices.

yeah you gotta make sure you select them all. just drag the mouse over the entire mesh to select all the vertices.

Or click "ctrl + a" to ensure you got them all.

ok i traced these lines clear back to my rubber. It cant be metal_dirty i think it has to be how im doin my masterchief_alpha, am i right? I have tried a few times exporting the alpha and it looks like the one in the tut

cuz in the composit there are 3 maps, the first slot it says to put the masterchief texture, which is the alpha isnt it?

(WOW i cant beleave i actually understand enuf to ask questions)
