So you want to install some sweet skins you downloaded? But don't know how? If the answer is yes. Then this tutorial will help you out.
Firstly you will need some programs to install these textures
Programs you will need:
Halo Maps Tools 3.5 Created by Mono
The texture file you have downloaded
Applying
Open up Halo Map Tools 3.5
Click File > Open and select a map thats in your Halo Pc maps folder
In the panel on the left where the list of sections is, click the + by [bitm] Bitmap
Scroll down the list they appears and select the texture that you want to replace (i.e. Chain gun warthog would be vehicles\warthog\bitmaps\warthog)
In the panel on the right, a picture will appear with the texture thats already in there.
Click on inject texture then browse using the small Windows Explorer window to the new texture your wanting to apply.
Once you have selected the new file click the Open box thats in the bottom right corner of the pop-up
Click on the save button, and you should notice that the picture thats on the right panel changes to the new texture. If so this has worked, If no then re read this tutorial and try again, you maybe have done somethin wrong.
After you have clicked the save button, exit HMT 3.5 and you have finished apply the new texture!
If you want to test that you have done it correctly, load up Halo PC and when in game, the texture that you have changed will have changed from the old texture, to the new one you apply.
I hope this tutorial has helped a few people out, as I have noticed a rise in people asking how to apply texture files.
