render larger and closer, and when you save as jpg use the highest quality. also, use imageshack because as far as i know, photobucket still lowers the quality.

No... the monitor is the right size. The games have a way of making him look really small.

The model might be too small. Dragging the mouse over the center of the grid, and see if that picks anything up. If it does, you need to increase the scale of the models so you can view them. The best way to scale is to set the scale in the import options so when you import other hlao 2 models they'll all be the proper sizes in relation to the rest.

EDIT: Thanks to whoever moved this to the tutorial section.

Hi, I actually did not use THIS tutorial for setting up the H2 Mastechief until I read you showed how to use emblems!

However, I've done exactly as stated and can't get them to work.
I've downloaded the .uvw file and saved it along with my other needed files. I then...

Opened my spartan, created a new material, checked the Diffuse Color and added a Mask, then set the map as "RGB Tint" then Mask as, "Emblem.jpg," and my emblem is a black and white image that is 512x512. When I then apply this material to my spartan is covers his whole body. So I assumed the file available for download, "emblem.uvw," I think, would automatically have the emblem jump to the MC's shoulders. Guess not?

lol. Whenever I apply the UV Unwrap to the spartan with the material selected it hides the spartan and shows only the emblem taking the form of the spartan when rendered.

PLEASE, ANY SUGGESTIONS?
I'm ready to post screenshots if asked!

I have read those answers. One says that I need halo 2 for the xbox and one says that I need halo 2 for vista. I have both but I think I may need a modded xbox or something. No one is responding to my follow up questions so I'm still stuck.

I havent been trying to spam the boards, you guys have just been saying "these tutorials are for halo 2." I hadnt realized that you meant that it was for halo 2 on the xbox. I get it now and I think I've found a tutorial that will help me export the character models. Thats all that I wanted from you guys, a shove to the correct tutorial. I'm sorry for being a bother I just have no idea how to navigate these forums. I'm new to the modding community so please try not to get too mad at me. I just want to dive into this and start making some new halo models.

Heres something like what I was looking for http://forums.halomods.com/viewtopic.php?t=14120

We refer to Halo 2 Xbox as Halo 2, and Halo 2 Vista generally as H2V.
