I'm just curious... what if the "art" that you created was the HUD? For instance, if you edited the HUD in a unique way that was creative and considered, "artful," would you still be allowed to post it?

Then that can be addressed on a case-by-case basis.

Because, I do not like conflict and didn't want this to turn into more than it should have been. I tried to end it with my last post yet, you drag it on. There was no need what so ever for you to get involved.

If it is a big problem, we can delete the image and make a new thread as i've stated already. Just stop the bickering.

Yeah, let's do that shall we.

I'm not having a grey area on what is and isn't allowed. If I catch a shot of the HUD, I'll remove it.

kibito87, saying other people have gotten away with it before is not grounds to break Chad's rule yourself. That's possibly the worst logic I've ever come across.

Ragdoll, you might actually want to read what Chad has and hasn't requested for this thread before you go around being rude and ignorant towards staff members.

Okay, I've gone through this time after time after time, but it looks like here's yet another time to cover it.

ANYBODY can hit the "capture screen shot" button with Yelo. It's not hard at all. What this thread is for, though, is well-composed photographs. I remember the excitement well-composed screen shots gave me when H2 was still in the pre-release stages, and I had hoped to give people a chance to re-capture that. We have something with Halomods that few people in the world have: the ability to have a brand new H2 every time it's modded. That in mind, I made this thread so people can compose their own screen shots, much like the ones of Bungie used to so deeply capture our interest. I'm not saying that this thread was made solely to showcase upcoming mods, I'm saying it was created so we can show each other a whole new way of seeing this ever-evolving game. I look at the screen shots on this thread and, if they're well-composed, I get excited about Halo all over again.

I'm sorry for my lack of regulation in this thread. I can do very little to correct problems short of writing a page worth of information. I'll try to do more, though.

If you have a capture card, use it. I hate the jaggies and sometimes stretching that come from direct screens. >_> (For Halo 2)

Nice Dark, I only wish Halo 2 supported AA.

Heh, I need some one who can do good builds with halo 2 core. I need someone to add weather to this map for me.

From this point forward, anybody posting a screenshot with the HUD will be RC'd.

Chad, as well as others, including myself, have asked time and time again for the HUD to be removed for photography in this thread.

If you want to complain about it, PM me.

Your going to RC me for something very minor slipping my mind?
IMO an RC is way to strict :?

It makes people listen to the rules, rules which have been here for over two years.

Then why don't we make a mod screen shot/photography thread. I really don't like making a new thread for a couple of pictures. Some mods have HUD edits you know >_>

Do it. If it garners enough attention and activity, it gets stickied...Then things like the h3 prerelease shots will be unstickied.
