did you tile the detail map? it looks very stretched, you should seriously try to do that tutorial tree trep made that i linked you to.

I do not mod halo, so please do not send me Instant Messages asking how.
Also, do not send me pm's regarding modding halo.

Ok first off, good job using brazil as your rendering system, BUT the material looks like a five minute mat., so im going to help you out, Ok first thing add a spec/bump/detail/reflection map(s), To get a specular map you get the alpha map from the diffuse map, For the bumpmap you have 2 options find jeans bump on yayap, Or use enity's proper bumpmap extractor, for detail map get the Metal_dirty one its the one that the ingame scene uses, and for reflection maps you have to go to yayap and look for the proper cubemaps, I think Tural or Trep posted them there, for the visor just add the cubemaps and the bump and diffuse, Now if your going for a realistic type scene go and add some HDRI, and for more information on that go here HDRI HelpA1M4TH3H3AD wrote:Does my master chief look good enough (in your opinions) to make a scene with?

Hope I helped and anyone feel free to pick up on anything I missed
Have a Happy New Year!!!!

Or you can use RayTrace to get a 'real time' reflection...and you can just add a picture/scene of some sort to get a reflection going in his visor... Jean took down his normal maps cuz people were using them without giving him proper credit. And make sure to tile the metal_dirty map somewhere around 8-10...maybe even less (just go by what looks good to you) And happy new years too whoot

OK, so i have some bone rigs of Halo 1 characters thanks to The Ghost's GBX model importer. I am creating the IK solvers, so i got to Animation > IK Solver >HI solver, and it works great. But as soon as i deselect the bone, it stops working, WTF? If anyone knows how to fix this problem, please help.

lol... you think thaaat's glossy... you should run back through this thread, there have been muuch more 'glossy' ones... but he just got out of the bath, give him a break.

Less glossy, I reduced the 'bumps' on his armor (The tiled Metal_Dirty)... and I threw in the brushed metal horizontal and vertical and tiled them... eeh, I'm still playing around. This is the first day in a while I've actually felt like messing with stuff in 3DS
