Whilst that is true, I'm letting him release this so he stops selling my code to people.

And on a side note, the leaking was prior, not now. As I said this was allowed but yeh.

Now I see why the best of the best modders get banned. (Malolo for example) They all turn into jerks. Darkshallfall, you seem to be a good modder, but to tell a guy the gtfo and never come back, that he is not smart enough to make up a real name, (Construct - Root word of "Construction: The proccess of building/creating". This is a moddifying app, ergo, creator of mods. Sounds like a nice name to me.) and to tell him he isn't even making his own app, just changing someone else's app. How could you? He's made awsome mods (I've never seen any, but these ppl seemed to have.) and I'm sure thay when you realize that he's getting credit for something and you arn't involved, you need to make him sound like a bad guy, or just plain insult him.

I hope you DO come back, shade.

While you're gone, remember this. Live for the rush. That's just something I say meaning, live life to it's fullest. You should know that while you're gone, H3 modding will really work it's way up. I think you might consider coming back when you see some of the mods in the not-so-distant fututre. Hope you do.

So Detchro, it's fine to steal code and release it without permission? Because that's what they're saying he did in the past. Obviously Dark is the jerk here, if that's true. Dark not being the one to use and distribute code without permission of the person who actually wrote it. Yeah, real nice. I advise anyone not directly involved in the situation to stay out of it, because if you aren't involved, you probably don't know what you're talking about, and you're making it all worse. There is nothing wrong with Dark's post, and he is not "becoming a jerk." Stop.

Sorry to see that you have decided to depart from the modding community, I've been a member at Halo Mods for quite some time, never really got to know many people, but I have seen you as well as others around making wondrous applications. if you don't mind me asking and with all due respect, why are you leaving? You are in the spot light of Halo 3 modding, unless you just got bored of modding and it's communities o.O

Because he is accused of stealing code and selling it. Whether it is true I do not know.

Well I'd hate to see him leave, he's really contributed to Halo 3 research. I'm sure whoever he stole from can easily over look this incident and forgive him. Driving him away only causes sorrow for those who admire him and his work. I suppose that said person doesn't care to much though.

That has been confirmed already... But the way I see it is I've seen much more good come from shade than bad, so I'm sad to see him go.

The code stealing incident is true. What happened was I took a class from an application made by detox and used it in another application I was working on before this one without his knowing it or asking for his permission. I then gave that application to someone else which effectively leaked that code because it ended up being decompiled. I did apologize to detox and we came to an agreement that releasing Construct and not selling it to anybody else would make up for the previous code leaking incident.

So yeah that's the whole story there. As for me leaving it's just wont have the time to put into modding anymore I've got some new priority's and would like to put this all behind me.

:(

How serious are your new priorities, they must be pretty critical I assume. Is it boarding lining personal matters that you'd rather not talk about?
