Just kidding, I wouldn't bring that up. But on a serious note, many people have..modified game variants...and are playing them in custom games and forge, and they are not getting banned or anything like that. What do you think will happen if/when halo 3 CUSTOM GAME variant modding becomes public? Do you think it will be auto-detected and will ban you? *(Bungie is not doing this yet obviously but it is a possibility for the future)

Not many people have modified the usermaps, only Anthony's close friends who he lets get their maps resigned. Bungie dislikes people using modded usermaps, which is why they delete them and ban the user on the forums (not on the game). They don't ban people for it probably because it does not harm MM or the Halo 3 game experience as a whole. Halo 3 usermap modding will never be public unless somebody makes a CON resigner and releases it, which would make them completely idiotic and would probably result in a serious suit from Microsoft. If Bungie wanted, they could start banning people for them, but the maps are so played, they would loose a good amount of players (two leaked maps were on the top played map variants on Bungie, now only one).

im kinda of new at this and when ever I try to open, it says engineer has encountered a problem and needs to shut down... Can someone tell me whats going on? thx

I'm talking about running unsigned code, allowing people to mod the maps. Such a technology, as it stands now, would not even let you connect to Live at all, as you'd be using a different kernel.

It won't. Modding Forge variants requires a container resigner, and that being public would have more important things to worry about than Halo 3. People abusing it would be more worried about Microsoft banning their Live account, and the creator would be weary of Microsoft suing them for circumventing copy protections, which is illegal under the DMCA. I'm not going to discuss the leaked variants with you, because I have said it so many times that you should be able to find everything about them easily. No bans for variants.

Hey, what is the Library for?
Also, every time I try to extract meta, it says the path does not exist.
Senor_Grunt: Okay, so, I was playing CoD4 earlier, and about 30 minutes into playing, the screen went black, then flashed, then the 360 gave me red rings. Only, they weren't rings, they were half of the ring. Like, only two of the controller light thingies were light up red. WTF does this mean? Like seriously. My 360 still works, but it does that like once every week at the least, and it's getting annoying getting to round 16 in the zombie mode for CoD5 (so totally not bragging ), then suddenly blacking out. :[
