Technicalities are irrelevant. That member does not have a devkit, and thus such a piece of information doesn't matter to him in the slightest.

Hey shade,
Why don't you just make a version of engineer that only opens/mods campain maps and resigns them. That way we wont run into modding on xbox-live and still be able to have some fun modding halo 3.

I really want to see what the 360 can handle in the way of multiple projectiles.

Even a simple tag editor with a dep swaper would be nice!

He can't "just make a version of engineer that only opens/mods campain maps and resigns them."

Right after he breaks into Bungie and steals the private key, or spends one-million-plus years brute forcing it, right? Resigning maps is not possible, and probably never, ever will be. If you had taken any time to read the information available, you would know that Xbox Live has nothing to do with the modding process.

And even if he some how get the private key to resign the maps and made an app to only edit campaign maps then people could still mod on Xbox Live, not in match making, but still on Xbox Live.

Even if they did, they would be banned right away. Why in the world would they risk giving up Xbox Live forever just to mod online? Sounds silly to me.

Oh, because you made the banning system, you know how it works, right?
Considering it has never, ever been tested or demonstrated, I don't see how you can claim what it will do.

That is true. That was just a wild assumption, but I hope that is what will happen.

So Shade... What can we expect in the next Engineer update? Will Engineer support the Legendary maps soon?

You will be able to open them with the current version of Engineer, unless theres been some drastic changes in the map file structure Engineer should open any map you throw at it. The next update will have more bug fixes and I'll probably throw a Unicode viewer in. I've got a couple more things I'd like to add I just need to work up the motivation to do it :P

Its a problem with the map files not Engineer. I'm gonna add some error handling, its just not very high on the to do list right now.

This is really anoying, i keep getting this freaking error on Engineer that says:

Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection.
Parameter name: startIndex

(And when i open it in Johnson there is no tags)
I have all the .map, .info, .blf and the container from WXPirs in the same folder,
What do you think im doing wrong(I DID NOT DOWNLOAD THE MAPS)
Sig over width limit.

Here I made this really quickly to show how your map folder should be set up

http://img125.imageshack.us/img125/8427/89099494xa1.jpg

All map images go in the images folder, all map infos in the info folder.

Then in Engineer's settings set the map folder to the folder with your maps. If this does not work your maps are most likely corrupted.
