ALL CREDIT GOES TO UNKNOWNV2!!!!!


I'm getting to start modding Halo 3, and I'm going to get a transfer kit in about a week, but I've already made mods based off of unknownv2's forge variant. I have made one say it was made by bungie, and it shows "Edit Objects on *MAP NAME*". Another is just a fool around variant. (Overshields, super fast, flame throwers, etc.) These are my first mods, and I'll appreciate it if someone can post screanies. (I would do it my self, but I still don't have my transfer kit)

You can take screenshots through Bungie.net without a transfer kit / capture card. The Forge gametype has already been posted before; all you did was change the meta info?

Yes, but I'm not trying to make a good mod, I'm just making mods, and seeing if they work on the 360. And I know how to take pics off of bungie.net, I don't have a transfer kid, so I can't get the gametype on my 360, so I can't test it.

The first one, all you did was change some strings.
The second one, you didn't even modify anything outside of what can be done in game.

Actually you can't spawn with flamethrowers with the normal in-game options.

But yeah, I don't know what you were expecting in terms of feedback...they were cool when other people first posted them. Nothing wrong with making these mods, but you should probably just keep them to yourself unless you do something new.

I'm not sure what you mean, I don't do ANY hacking outside of files and songs. And I don't understand what "internal hacking" is.

So, u dl'd it and saw that it was NOT forge? the dl shows that no one downloaded it yet. I can only assume 2 things, theres a delay from when things are downloaded and displayed, or you're lying. I'll stick with the delay thing...

If I could edit the counter, I would totaly put a wierd virus that removes Pr0n5 from someone's PC. I'm sure if I did do that, they would end up like this.

And has anyone even tested this mod? I am getting anxious to see if it works or not.

EDIT: Tural, it seems like you have something against me. I'm just going to add you as a foe. I think I recall you saying I suck at modifying, that last post seemed like you're trying to get me in trouble - or embarass me and I think I even remember you calling me stupid once or twice. To be honest, you kinda scare me a little.

Detchro, you're being openly mocked because your post lacked any real sense, train of thought, or relation to the current subject matter. I imagine that your reputation has grown to the point that it is expected of you.

Furthermore, this modification you posted lacks any real motivation for anyone to download. Like, really, congratulations and all that for getting into Halo 3 usermap modding, few feel like doing so, but don't release something this low-quality. Unfortunately, it only serves to further hurt your diminishing reputation in this modding community.

Your, "I only hack internal files because I keep more friends that way," is similarly mocked because it's... amusing? Again, your comments lack any real... I'm going to use the word, "sense," again, though that may not fit. There's little correlation between number of friends, and hacking internal files, vs. non-internal files. Unless you're stupid enough to hack your friends' files, then you're just an idiot. As such, the comment is mocked.

You just got done saying you would put a virus in a PHP-based download counter that deletes pornography. If you knew anything about any coding, viruses, or computers in general, you would see how none of that makes any sense whatsoever.

And I already started making simple forges on my 360 that i intend to mod. I say again, real simple. This post is ENTIRLY to see if current mods on my PC will work, and no one seems to be smart enough to understand that, and no one seems to be willing to help. You can tell me I suck, I'm stupid, worthless, deserve AIDS and Naval Cancer I don't care, tell me I am a good for nothing, retarded, low life noob who knows nothing about hacks, and should stuff beer bottles filled with donkey dung down my throut and hang my self, It's probably true, so say it if you wish. I realy do understand I'm a retarded soul whom God will reject from heaven just because no one likes me. But I don't give a crap. I suck at everything, so I don't care if it is good or not. I'm going to keep trying until I manage to impress someone with what little skills I may have, and there ain't nothing in the world that can bring me down!

I just go into Halo 3 forge, while listening to Boston. That releases stress to me, and art? I don't like art very much. Thanks for the tip though, I'm only stressed and acting stupid now because I only got about 3 hours sleep last night. 2 nights ago, I went to a Monster Jam, yesterday, I've been trying to do a glitch in Halo 3 until like 4 in the morning, and still couldn't get it right. I feel terrible right now... Tural took advantage of that.

I think there was a misunderstanding. This forum (Downloads) is supposed to be where people post their mods to show them off and give others a chance to check them out. If you are still working on something, Modding Discussion or PM is generally where that takes place. I know I was posting my comments earlier based on the idea that you were posting these mods as finished and looking for comments/criticism/feedback.

EDIT: Also, I don't believe Tural was aware of your situation and thus wasn't "taking advantage" of it.

People are playing with you and mocking you. They are not making fun of you as a person. Just poking fun at how much you didn't make sense. Why so SeRiOuS . Just relax and have fun with modding. Like you said, just keep at it. I'm sure somebody will enjoy what you do sooner or later. Just try to progressively make better mods.

If you don't feel as though people will like it, don't post it. Keep it to yourself and better it. Or use it as motivation to get better. Nobody here truly hates you. They only pull your leg because of how you come off after just starting out here.

So pick your self esteem off the damn ground and show us what you are capable of.
