Pretty much nothing for the regular joe. There's only a handful of people who Anthony trusts and are close enough to him to let them make maps (forge maps) and resign them. But, as great as forge modding is, it is extremely limited because you can only swap things that are on the map.

Then there are those other handful of people here who have devkits and can do a lot more and as they progress, we will start seeing better and better things.

Haha, Photoshop...
That is correct. Until the geniuses over on Xbox-scene release some kernel to allow us to run unsigned code on the console so we can mod Halo 3 maps without resigning, our only option is modding Forge. In one year we should start seeing a lot of things like skins, Pelicans and Scarabs on Valhalla :D , and just the mos you saw in Halo 2. The thing to do now is wait.

Wow. Pretty good Photoshop because it had me convinced.

Now my next question.
Is a custom kernal being built?
I think so, but I'm not sure on the development. I don't know if they will even release it when it is done.

Photoshopping would take some time.

I really love the way Valhalla looks like that. They could make a Christmas video.

Sounds interesting. If it is a permanent exploit, then it may work.

It is a pain to get running, and your 360 has to have never signed on XBL, go to xbox-scenes for how to do it...

No one here asking can run unsigned .xex's and wont be able to until a custom kernal is released. Tural said earlier there is no ETA on this kernal. So as of right now no one can run unsigned .xex's unless you are one of the very very few who has a dev kit.

Summery(yes there are 1 or 2 exceptions):
-you cant run unsigned .xex's
-you cant resign .maps
-you cant resign CON LIVE and PIRS files
-you cant mod
Until the custom kernal is realeased no one can mods (except anthony ect.)

That still wouldn't work.

The king kong exploit, exploited the hyper visor, but never did allow unsigned code.

I don't even think thats possible with the king kong exploit, if it was, wouldn't we have it already?

Correct me if I am wrong but everyone want to do this online, can joe blow do this offline by having a hacked xbox and burning an iso, either that or moddifing forge files and then from there running them offline. I respect everything you guys do and I hope it keeps on coming!

BTW shade i heard you were saving up for a dev-kit, possible donation? I would like to.

If you have a devkit, you could use alter stuff offline, yes. However, to modify Forge variants, you would still need a container resigner, which is likely to never be released, for the same reasons as have been stated dozens of times.

I think you took that wrong. I was wondering if i could moddify the map files and then burn them to an iso and run them offline. With forge files I was wondering if you could modify them then return them to your xbox and run those offline.

Thanks for the info, I was under the assumption that you can mod while offline.

Being offline doesn't change the fact that they still need to be signed.

I was just thinking that it is live that actually signs the maps, but now I guess the signing is done internally.
