SourceGuy's being ridiculous. He ruined the site, drove it into the ground, changed everything that made this site great all without even mentioning any ideas to the community. And now he wants I_F to pay for everything he messed up, so that I_F can do him the favor of taking it off his hands?

Here's how I see it, SG, you're fucked. You're trying to make a profit off of a site, and you can't do it. It's not possible. No matter what you do here, you won't be able to profit from it. People aren't going to click ads just because you shove them in our faces. While I might have when Gren had the site for to help him out, I would never do that for you, because you have no care for the site. You don't listen to members who said what you did wrong, you ignore suggestions to make the site better and push your own agenda. You screwed over all the lasting staff and rearranged the entire administration. You ruined this site.

While I don't entirely disagree, I think you are overreacting. From every post I've seen from SourceGuy I can tell he is not some money-grubbing asshole hell-bent on ruining halomods. The one true mistake he made (changing the site behind closed doors) he has apologized for numerous times; the other decisions (such as ads) were not given as a choice to the community because there would have been no point: of course nobody wants them, but it was a decision he had to make.

That said, I still think I_F taking control of this site would end up being best for all the members. However, I do not think SG has been truly unreasonable.

Here's crossing our toes that all works out...

Also, I like Ombre's idea. That seems very reasonable.
That is, if this current situation prevents from any transferring of the website.

We would lose too much history. We shouldn't consider dumping the years worth of research and mods, from mediocre to outstanding just so we get out of paying.

The history stuff doesn't mean the most to me anymore. But I'm not going to be one to suggest abandonment which would lead to SourceGuy just deleting everything here and moving on.

edit @Tural and those with similar viewpoints. I was only really meaning to prevent discussion on jumping ship here. Not so much to panic or anything =)
